The 2017 Lady Lions championship soccer team

Thanks to a lot hard work and dedication, the Lady Lions took the Golden League Championship last season. As this year’s soccer season approaches, the team held a two-week tryout that began on October 8th. Hopeful players did many drills to test their ball control and passing, as well as speed and technique.

“We need to build a good relationship amongst the team in order to support each other on and off the field,” says Coach Singh. “People say we won Golden League by luck, but if our girls put in the same energy and hard work, there’s no doubt we can do it again.”

“When I was a freshman last year, the girls were all very helpful and welcoming,” says sophomore Heaven Mejia. “I think this season will be lots of fun no matter if we win or lose.”

The first home game of the season will be December 6th against the Pete Knight Hawks. Make sure to go support your Lady Lions.
