Do you ever feel bored? Like there’s nothing to do in Lancaster except go to the movies or head to the BLVD? Maybe even wait for the fair to come back?

It’s time you added something new to your list.

Twisted Exit is one of only two places to offer escape rooms in Lancaster. Escape rooms have become increasingly popular in the last few years, allowing players to work together to solve puzzles in a limited amount of time.

Twisted Exist has three different themed rooms, so you’re guaranteed you don’t get the same room. The first room, called Voice, is themed like a haunted house with an eight-year-old girl’s spirit trapped inside. It’s perfect if you’re looking for something creepy. The second room, called The Black Rose, resembles the inside of a pirate ship where you are being held prisoner. And the final room, called Captive, is styled to resemble a haunted asylum that you must escape.

“As a worker, I really enjoy this place,” says Daniel Rodriguez, who works at Twisted Exit. “The idea of bringing new ways to entertain people is really clever.”

“Plus, the prices aren’t that expensive,” he adds.

The cost, $25 per person, is cheaper than most escape rooms in Los Angeles. Still, it’s more expensive than the movies.

That didn’t keep Eastside graduate Joshua Gomez from giving it a try.

The verdict? Totally worth the money.

“I didn’t know this place was a thing,” Joshua says. “I was surprised when I entered. I totally recommend this place if you are in a large group and you want to go out.”

Twisted Exit is open Thursday through Sunday, from 11 am -10:30 pm. It’s located at 44920 Valley Central Way #106 in Lancaster.
