Cinemark Movies 12, commonly known as the Dollar Theater of Lancaster, is a great place for movie-lovers looking to save. This theater showcases movies that have been removed from regular theaters. So if you missed a movie at Cinemark 22, you still might be able to catch it at Cinemark 12.

Another thing that makes this theater unique is the price of the tickets. When you go to Cinemark Movies 12, you’ll never spend more than $5 on a single ticket. And if you want to save even more, stop by on Wednesday when tickets are only $1.75 each.

The inside of the theater looks old-fashioned and has an appealing little arcade section where you can have fun and make time fly. And if you need to save some gas (or can’t drive yet), Cinemark Movies 12 is surrounded by a variety of food places, including McDonalds, Black Angus, and Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt.

Eastside Sophomore Liliana Linares goes to Cinemark 12 regularly. “I go there only when my stepmom wants to take us out and just want to watch some movies,” she says. “It’s cheap, and we’re seven kids in all and one parent when we go out. What I like about that theater is that the prices are pretty cheap and we don’t spend a lot.”

The tickets are cheap, which means that Liliana has more money left for snacks.

“I spend at least $20 when I go,” she says. “Most of the money goes to $12 combo which has refillable popcorn and soda.”

Mr. Jimenez, who teaches Spanish here on campus, spends a similar amount when he visits the theater. If he could, Mr. Jimenez says he’d go to Cinemark 12 every week.

Cinemark Movies 12 is the perfect place to go to if you ever just want to go out. The tickets and snacks sold there are what make it all worth the visit. There are always open spots when looking for somewhere to park which can spare the trouble of looking. If you’re ever planning to take someone or yourself out but aren’t so hot on cash, this is the perfect place to go to.
