Supreme’s FW18 Collection Is Released August 16th
Supreme is a streetwear brand that has been around since 1994. They release collections for spring/summer, and fall/winter annually. On August 16 they had an in-store release for this year’s fall/winter collection. They released in their Los Angeles, New York, London, and Paris stores. They will begin to release online Thursdays for the rest of the season starting August 20 in the US, and in Europe.
This collection’s lookbook features many jackets/coats, and warm up pants, with new designs, or ones from past collections that fit with the clothing being previewed. They often work with artists like Mark Gonzalez, who is also a professional skater whose piece’s names frequently include the title “Gonz,” his nickname.
Some members of the streetwear community make YouTube videos. Often times these people will discuss weekly Supreme drops, review pieces they do and do not like, and give advice on styling pieces from many different aspects of streetwear or fashion. In one video like this, Jacob Starr, a popular YouTuber, says this was “one of the best seasons so far.” This Supreme season, similar to every other, will bring many buyers, and plenty reselling of “grail” like pieces, such as their famous box logo t-shirts and hoodies.
