The 2019 NFL Draft was held at the end of last month. 47.5 million fans watched it live, and an additional 600,000 attended the event.

Eastside student Jonathan Alaniz was one of those watching live. “I just love football,” he says. “Of course, I’m gonna watch and see who my team picks.”

In case you missed it, here are four of the most memorable moments from this year’s draft.

#1: The LSU Love

The Browns traded up in the second round to select LSU cornerback Greedy Williams. This prompted the team’s new receiver, Odell Beckham Jr., to hop on social media. Also a former LSU player, Beckham seemed excited to welcome another Tiger to the team. In the video, OBJ kept yelling “greedy’’ over and over.

#2: The Goodell Chest Bump

Christian Wilkins, the new defensive tackle for the Miami Dolphins, made the biggest entrace of the night. When his name was called by commissioner Roger Goodell, Christian Wilkins surprised everyone by hitting Goodell with a surprise chest bump.

#3: Nick Bosa’s Chill

In a draft full of strong emotions, Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa was easily the most relaxed player selected. When the 49ers called to announce that he’d been drafted, he answered the phone with a cool “yooo’.’

#4: The Seahawk’s Shirtless Energy

When former Ole Miss player D.K Metcalf met with the Seahawks, a Seahawks scout convinced Metcalf to come into the meeting shirtless as a practical joke. In a strange but comedic turn of events, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll also took off his shirt to match Metcalf’s energy.
