The Upcoming Scary Movies: Us, The Curse of La Llorona, and Pet Sematary

Everyone has different opinions on scary movies, some enjoy them while other don't even dare to watch a scary movie. Varsity soccer player Delia Bocanegra says “I enjoy scary movies a lot and I love the feeling of suspense when watching them.” while Eastside freshman Jasmine Quiros states “In my opinion scary movies are a fun way to get your adrenaline going. Personally I don't like to watch scary movies because I hate being scared”.

This movie started streaming on March 22nd 2019. It is about a family who returns to a home where the mother grew up in and they begin to be haunted by four masked strangers whos forcing them to fight for survival. When their masks come off the family is horrified to find out that the attackers look exactly like each one of them.

The Curse of La Llorona

This particular storyline is a myth that has multiple different versions. The version that is mostly known is the one where it is said that a woman drowned her kids in a river in Mexico because the guy that she wanted to marry did not like her kids. Therefore she drowned them so she can marry the man although she ends up regretting it. Now people would say that they'd hear her wailing for her children around the river she drowned them in saying “Mis hijos”. The movie will start streaming on April 19th, 2019.

Pet Sematary

Pet Sematary is about a small family who move to Rural Maine and the couple end up finding a burial ground in the woods near their new home. Then suddenly a tragedy happens that makes Louis Creed(the husband) set off a chain reaction that unleashes an unspeakable evil with horrifying consequences. This movie started streaming on april 5th, 2019.

There are many other movies coming out that are not scary for those who aren’t a big fan of horror movies. Although if you are then try watching these three movies for a good scare!
