Three Black Actors Every Teen Should Know

Many students know about movies and the film industry but the people in filmmaking are often what make the movie good, Some of the best movies of all time have got the best actors of all time. Today we will be discussing a few of best Black Actors of our time. Many people will know these actors because of their hard and amazing work in the movie industry.

I ask Eastside Freshmen Andrew Alvarez “What do you think about African Americans having played such a big role in filmmaking last year ? For example movies such as Black Panther and Into the Spider Verse being some of the best that have came out”. He stated “ I think they were good movies that broke barriers in the film industry”

Samuel L. Jackson

“I voted for Barack because he was black. ‘Cuz that’s why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them… That’s American politics, pure and simple.”

Samuel L Jackson’s breakthrough role was in the 1991 film Jungle Fever where he played Gator but he didnt start off like this he was born on December 21 1948 in Washington D.C. he wa raised by his grandmother then finished school and went off to college from there he then started making skits about racial inequality.

Will Smith

“ I love being black in America, and especially being black in Hollywood”

Will smith was born on September 25, 1968 in Philadelphia. Where after high school he owned a refrigeration company. His breakout role was in hit tv show Fresh Prince of bel air and that was what really made him as popular as he is now. Now he is starring as the Genie in Aladdin

Denzel Washington

“Don’t aspire to make a living, aspire to make a difference.”

Denzel Washington pursued journalism in college but from that discovered new found interest in acting. He made his first role in Carbon Copy then went on to be on hit television show St. Elsewhere. Now Denzel Washington is known to be one of the best actors of all time starring Glory which got 93% on Rotten Tomatoes
