It begins with the death of a boy named Jason Blossom, who was killed while going on an early boat ride with his twin sister. It is up for the group of teens to find the mystery of the death of Jason blossom. This series can be found on both Netflix and Hulu.

Stranger Things

Stranger Things is a sci-fi/fantasy Netflix show about a group of young boys who discover another world called the “the upside-down.” One night, one of the boys went missing after the creature took him to the other side. It leads these boys to go on an unbelievable experience to close the gate to the underworld and make their town a peaceful place. The first three seasons are available now on Netflix.

Freshman Ruby Maturana is one student who might be checking out some of these shows this three-day weekend. “These shows are really good recommendations,” she says. “I have seen most of these shows, and they are great.”

Fellow freshman Oscar Avalos has only watched Stranger Things, but he’s open to giving the other a chance. “Why not?” he asks. “Everyone should.”
