We are simplifying our product offering so we can focus on quality and innovation in a sustainable way.

Summary

1. Priime will remove some products by May 1, 2020.
2. What stays: Priime for iPhone, Priime RAW for iPad, and Priime Lightroom Presets.
3. What’s going away: Priime Styles for Mac, Priime Galleries, Priime Collections, PRM Protocol development.
4. Priime Collections: users can download their photos and data before May 1, 2020 from their accounts on the web: http://priime.com/account/settings

The Slimdown

We have decided to not charge our users a lot more money for our products, which would be required to continue the high standard of quality and innovation for everything we offer. Instead, we are consolidating all our resources, energy, and focus to our flagship products: Priime for iPhone and Priime RAW for iPad.

Priime on your iPhone and iPad will continue to be great. Through this slimdown, we can avoid new subscription fees and other additional charges that would be needed to continue growing and maintaining our growing number of products.

The Priime team consists of photographers just like our customers, and we built these products to use ourselves too. So we get it and have the clarity into how we can continue to provide the tools we all want.

How Does This Affect You?

If you use Priime on your iPhone or iPad, you can continue to do so. Priime Lightroom presets are already downloaded and you can continue to use them. The other products we have will be shut down so that we can pour everything into the products that are staying.

If you are a Priime Collection user, you can download all of your photos and other data from the website, up until May 1, 2020. Use this link to get to your Priime Settings page where you can download your Collections.

Product Specific Plans

Priime for iPhone and Priime RAW for iPad

• These two products will remain available
• We will also announce a few new updates to the style suggestions soon.

Priime Collections

• This will be shut down.
• The cost for lossless, maximum resolution photo sharing, served at blazing fast speeds on a beautiful interface, is quite a bit. We would have to charge customers too much for that to be possible.

Priime Galleries

• This will be shut down.
• Galleries uses a lot of storage, and like Collections, never takes away quality while maintaining speed. We store the highest quality, maximum-sized images for clients to license and use. This is crazy expensive, and cannot be at a reasonable price that customers are willing to pay.

Priime Styles for Mac

• This will no longer be available for new customers, though existing users can still use it. The app will no longer be maintained moving forward.
• Priime Styles adds the artistic styling to your photos from Photos.app, Lightroom, and standalone from your Mac. This app was an Apple Editor’s Choice and has been a staple in many people’s workflows. Unfortunately, like the other products, it is too expensive to maintain at the current price point.
• You can supplement your desktop workflow if you have Lightroom with the Priime Lightroom Presets that will still be available.

Priime Lightroom Presets

• The presets will still be available!
• They have been a huge part of our community’s set of tools, and we will continue to offer them to new customers.

PRM Protocol

• The whitepaper will still be available
• The Priime Team will no longer be the developers of the PRM protocol, but it remains available for anyone else to take over using the whitepaper.
