Why doesn’t everyone have one?
Not long ago, I faced ongoing fallout from a life-and-death situation affecting myself and my newborn daughter. It was a terrifying time, and I couldn’t believe how hard it was to find someone to confide in. Friends and family were compassionate but unable to stay neutral about the situation. I looked for a professional, but quick access to therapy was hard to find.
At the time of this life-changing event, I was 15 years into my career in Advertising, Digital, and Marcom. I saw the underbelly of over 70 high-growth companies. The vulnerability of their businesses could all be determined by one thing: their top talents’ ability to be resilient to the fires of the business world and their willingness to evolve. We brought coaches into the mix on many occasions; each time producing great results.
I became interested in understanding the magic, developing myself, and having the ability to coach employees internally. I trained under a Master Coach and received a Coaching Certification. I now personally understood the power and benefits of 1-on-1 coaching.
So, when I found myself in uncharted territory with my daughter, I knew having a coach could offer me the outlet I needed. In looking for a solution, my time-sensitive circumstance didn’t fit into coaches’ expert niches, or their long, expensive programs. I needed access to an outlet on my terms — trusted, affordable, and brief.
