5 cheap and easy DIY & expensive looks!

All of us have an artist in us. Only few try to unfold the artistic side and unleash the skill. Many of us don’t even try to explore the skill. It is because we have a preconceived notion that not all can become artists. Instead, we should probably think this way, why can’t we become an artist? Artists have a unique expression and their way of presenting things is very different. It is because they would turn a napkin into a paper rose, and they would make use of the left out paint to make something creative.

There are artists who make things with brand new items. They’d not even use a bell pin from the previous project. They want everything afresh and there are crafters and artists who see everything useful. The left out confetti, the extra bell pins from the previous project, the used crayons, they’d try to make something out of everything that’s around. Not all can do it, but It takes a real artist to do this!

Following are some of the cheap and easy DIY projects that would look elegant, beautiful and expensive!! These projects would leave you in awe with its pretty looks and would also make the visitors drop their jaw. So, go ahead and give it a try. Good luck, folks!

a) Dip –dye white rope and coil it into a bowl!

You have a few bundles of unused white rope at home? Or some of the coloured ropes from the previous project are lying around? Make use of them. You can dip-dye them in different colors and coil it over a bowl. Brush some glue all over it. Voila!!!! The rope bowl is ready. Using different and vibrant hues would make the bowl attractive!

b) Build a mug house for a coffee addict.

Are you a coffee addict? Love coffee mugs? Why not build a coffee mug house with the wooden planks. Use them and make a house shape and fix it on the wall in your kitchen or in the dining hall. Make shelves in the house and place different coloured mugs. You can also paint/ polish the wood to a different colour if you do not want the raw wooden colour look. So, the beautiful and elegantly looking coffee mug house is ready!

c) Make straw hangers for plants and jewelry!

Had a party at home and have a pack of straws left, unused? Why not make it useful by making a straw hanger for plants and jewelry? Puzzled??? Look at the above picture, you’ll find ideas on how to do it. You can make different shapes using the straws and hang it using a rope or a thick thread. Ensure that it is firm and can hold the things together.

d) Decoupage a trinket tray

You have a tray at home that’s lying without any use? Use it to design and make a decoupage trinket tray. Use some pins and motifs, some bands and accessories to stick on the tray. Paint it an use some sprinklers and glitters for making it look attractive.

e) Home made candles

Home made candles gives such a royal, elegant look to the place it is placed in. Whether you place it in your living room, or in your bedroom, the homemade candles look pretty and attractive. You can make it at home and they would look no lesser than the expensive ones right from the shelves of the boutique. Add a few drops of scent to it and it gives you a soothing aroma. Such positive vibe and serenity it projects!
