If you have played Primal TCG through our Tabletop Simulator mod or through our 0th Edition Starter Decks you might want to read this.

After several more rounds of playtesting by our Miami local playtesting group (Shout out to Mike and Mario for helping break the game). The following erratas will be made to make our first card set, Awakened Primordials, a healthier trading card game for newcomers. These changes are so players don’t feel discouraged when a card hits the field.

Pleaguis Erratas

Pleaguis Experimentor

Experimentor before allowed you to ignore the Turn Count the Character that was put in play by his effect. This means that if you had a Pleaguis Character with a Turn Count of 5 or 6 in your Discard Pile you could (cheese) bring them out starting at turn 2, this led to a disadvantage in playing. Now the Character card that Experimentor can put in play from the Discard Pile must meet Turn Count requirements.

Pleaguis Obscurity

Similar to Experimentor, this Strategy card let you ignore Turn Count requirements. If this was combo’d with Pleaguis Deathwhisper then you could constantly reuse this Strategy to bring out higher Turn Count Characters while ignoring Turn Count requirements. Now if the selected card is a Character card that does not meet the Turn Count requirements it just goes to your hand.

Necrosphere

The nasty of the Necro Element. This card gets in the way of late game playing leaving the opponent at a disadvantage. Before, it was a Permanent Strategy Card that remained on the field for the whole game. Now, it will only remain on the field for 3 turns so it doesn’t hinder the opponent’s late game attacking.

Draginked Dragons Erratas

Symbiote Balthasar

Balthasar before did not require any Essence to use it’s effect. Since his Transformation effect is too powerful, basically screw over the opponent’s hand and future, a cost of 2 Essence was added. This now makes Balthasar more of a toolbox Character instead of the center of a control deck. The effect is too expensive to be used every turn but only used whenever needed to be used.

Symbiote Abyssagon

Before, Abyssagon was a board wipe for Terra and Sea Element Characters if it was put into play through Transformation. Now it lets the player select what Characters to discard as long as the selected Character(s) Turn Count adds up to the Turn Marker value. This means you can choose one of the opponent’s strong higher Turn Count Characters or multiple lower Turn Count Characters.

Draginked N.A.D.I.A.

Nadia’s effect didn’t really change much. Just added clarity to trigger the Zap coin effect at the beginning of the Strategy Phase so that it is easier to remember when to Burn (discard cards from the top of the deck).

Flight Tag

This is a game winning card with dragons so it should be a late game card and it should also give the opponent a chance to negate the effect.

Micromon Erratas

Micromon Vavista

Vavista was another Character that would board wipe Necro Element Characters. This means that as long as you put in play Vavista through Transformation at turn 6 you would win the game against the Pleaguis deck. Although Vavista does stand for a symbol against the Necro Element according to his lore. It is too unfair against Necro Element decks. This is why Vavista will now have an Ability Phase effect that allows it to discard an opposing character. This effect can be chained by the opponent making the card more fair than what it was.

Micronic Tesseract

Changed wording to Target to be more explicit that the card is a target and not being moved to the player’s hand.

Conclusion

These changes should be healthy for the game to be more fair than it was before. Although some cards had their effect power be reduced you will find that they are still powerful of their own.
