And a shiny new website!

How could product teams better plan out what they want to build with their users in mind?

This was our focus over the last month and we’re happy to announce that all existing users will now be able to try out the new features on the Project page.

Project page

Project page — Viewing by Status

You’ll now be able to view your project by the current status of each User Flow. This will help product managers and designers keep track of what work is currently in the pipeline. (We have no intention of replacing your team’s current methods of managing work — if there’s a favourite tool your team is using, we’d love to hear about it!)

On top of this, you’ll now be able to plan out your project by goals that your Users can achieve and do.

In a recent project of ours (shown below) we found this to be quite successful in clearing up a lot of confusing flows. As always, we’d love to know what your thoughts are and where we could improve on it further.

Document your designs

Last month we released the initial version of the Presentation feature. This month we’re happy to announce that our Document feature is finally here.

After speaking to many of our users we learnt that both features have their purpose in helping teams better communicate product features and user flows. Take it for a spin and let us know how we can further improve it!

What’s coming in the near future?

As pictured above, we’ve started exploring how commenting and notifications will work. We’re excited about the possibilities this will have for improving the workflow of product teams out there, including our own team!

We’ve opened up a Slack community which we would love for you to all be apart of and help us shape the direction we should take Primary in. You can join via this link.

🎉 What’s New?

  • Viewing your project by the status of each user flow
  • Viewing your project by user types
  • You can now see what other user flows an element is used in via the “Used In” tab in each element panel
  • Streamlined the user flow creation process, you’ll no longer be hassled every time about what a user flow is!
