Appopoly — Teacher Edition

I’ve wanted to share the apps that have made an impact and worked for me in the classroom for a while now and after being inspired by Mark Anderson’s excellent Periodic Table of Apps Volume 1 and 2, I decided to finally put something together.

Mark’s choices are excellent and both tables give a plethora of options. I guarantee you will find something new and exciting to use. However I wanted to approach it slightly differently as I have found that if you are not careful, you can spend a small fortune with great intentions, but rarely use more than 3 or 4. So what I’ve done is deliberately limit the amount of apps to share.

I’ve focused mainly teacher use of apps (with the edition of a couple of apps teachers can ‘rely on’ that children can use across the curriculum). That way, many of the apps can benefit teachers who only have a single IPad to use. However, if anyone finds this useful, let me know and I will follow it up with a pupil focused Appopoly.

So here it is. I hope you find something new or worth another look :)

Strictly speaking Quiziz isn’t an app. It’s a website that runs on any device. Coincidentally, this was also recommended to me by Mark Anderson. I do have my own original-ish ideas. Honest.
