Not so long ago, an article was published on Primate Culture in which the then predominant Ponzi scheme, MMM, was called out, describing in detail how it worked and prophesing (correctly) about how it would crash.

Today we see that MMM was only the John the baptist that made way for what can be described as a culture of Ponzi schemes in Nigeria.

On this weeks episode of Pop the Culture, our hosts @ngbede and @yadesesan tackle the question of why ponzi schemes are still a thing and what fuels their rise.
