Prime Movers Lab Rundown: Quantum Computing to Transform Electric Grid; Fusion Startups Win DOE Awards
As summer temperatures increased in July, breakthroughs at a number of Prime Movers Lab portfolio companies also heated up. Atom Computing and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory announced a collaboration to explore how quantum computing can help optimize electric grid operations. In addition, both of our fusion energy portfolio companies won INFUSE awards from the Department of Energy. Having two portfolio companies win both INFUSE and Milestone awards is an enormous endorsement in our due diligence from the DOE because only four companies won both awards.
Prime Movers Lab also announced our third early stage fund in July. Be sure to read the Bloomberg exclusive below by Lizette Chapman.
