[Mobile Guide] Naver TV RTMP Stream URL Change Update

Hey everyone! It’s Editor B with PRISM Live Studio, the global live streaming app.

Today I wanted to share the changes to the RTMP Stream URL for Naver TV.

The PRISM Live Studio provides login-based connection for platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, Naver TV, and Afreeca TV. This function automatically sets the relevant information from the ID/PW of the individual platform.

However, the PRISM application also supports live streaming via custom RTMP information, which can be found on the RTMP Settings screen after clicking on the Custom RTMP button in the Connect Account menu.

The RTMP information (Stream URL and Stream Key) you enter directly into the prism app is stored permanently so that users can live stream on the same platfrom again without having to re-enter their RTMP information.

The RTMP Stream URL of NaverTV has been changed since Thursday, November 21, 2019. However, you can use the RTMP Stream URL of the existing NaverTV until Monday, December 23, 2019.

That means that you can start changing the RTMP Stream URL starting November 21st, and it must complete it no later than December 23rd. You can find the new address below!

Naver TV RTMP Stream URL Setting

Select the Naver TV icon on the Connect Account menu. Then click on Naver TV Custom RTMP to access the RTMP Settings page.

By default, the Custom RTMP button shown bottom right corner of the Connect Account menu in the picture below allows you to set the RTMP information for the live platform you want.

Naver TV → Naver TV Custom RTMP → RTMP Settings → Stream URL

For Stream URL, the value of established live platforms, such as YouTube, Twitch, and NaverTV, are fixed. Therefore, the PRISM app supported the users by having fixed RTMP URL available in a preset list.

Otherwise, users can also input their own Stream URL to live stream on Naver TV. In that case, please take a look at the URL information below and change accordingly.

*If you are broadcasting with Naver TV via login-based connection, you can continue to enjoy the same service without any changes.

From Thursday, November 21, 2019, the RTMP Stream URL for NaverTV will be changed as follows:

  • Current URL → rtmp://
  • New URL → rtmp://

For a fixed period in time, both the current stream URL and the new stream URL are available for live streaming on Naver TV. However, the existing Stream URL will no longer be available after a grace period, so we ask you to change the Stream URL as soon as possible.

I apologize for any inconvenience that may come with the changes in the Naver TV’s Stream URL and we will continue to strive to make the PRISM app more convenient for you.

Thank you!
