PRISM Live Studio App won the 2020 Red Dot Design Award at the same time in both Brands & Communication Design - Apps and Interface & User Experience Design!
Do you remember? Our PRISM app won the Communication UI category at another international design award iF last February.

We are so happy that this successive award seems to be the result of our long-standing consideration and effort, “How can we more easily provide users with the difficult subject of live broadcasting and video editing?”

★ Red Dot Design Award
Well, let’s briefly look at the Red Dot Design Award :-)
The Red Dot Design Award is one of the world’s most well-known design competitions that started in Germany in 1955, and the purpose of this competition is to honor the outstanding quality work in the design world.
In addition, it is currently regarded as one of the top three design awards in the world, along with the iF Design Award in Germany and IDEA Design Award in the United States.
This Red Dot Design Award are divided into three categories: product design, communication design, and concept design.
# Product Design
It was the oldest of the three fields and was known as Design Innovation until 2000. This competition is open to entries in areas where products are manufactured, including furniture, household goods, machinery, automobiles, tools and machinery.
# Communication Design
Since 1993, it has been selected for remarkable works in various fields such as advertising, interactive media, and sound design, as well as in the field of visual design with communication in general.
And since 2008, it has been awarded the title of red dot: design agency of the year to design companies that have consistently led innovative achievements in the design world.
# Concept Design.
In the field of concept design, it selects a new, creative and interesting idea vision.
It is said that the award recipients are designers who have high potential and are young and able to grow.
★ Apps, Interface & User Experience Design
Then, let’s talk about the details of PRISM Live Studio app’s awards :-)
Our PRISM app won the main prize in Apps and Interface & User Experience Design.
These fields fall into two of the three areas I have just described, Brands & Communication Design - Apps are the product design field, and Interface & User Experience Design is the communication design field.
So, we are grateful for this award as a compliment to the product’s original design for the PRISM Live Studio app and the user experience it provides.
