Anti-LGBTQ+ Hate Rests on Unfalsifiable Claims

I start this piece with today’s invasive dystopian fantasy because it hints at something our communities might actually be able to accomplish. It might be funny as hell if I, you, or a whole brood of us get to do what I do in this little fantasy for real. Well, not exactly funny. But I’ve been into gallows humor since November 5th, so…

The fantasy starts with me being arrested for being trans, being out, just, you know, being my bubbly, joyous, pink-haired, cosplay-girl, philosopher queen self.

The Author (fabulously festooned creature on the right) leads this year’s iconic Eugene BRiGHT Parade, for the second year in a row. And this year Mom (stunning ally on the left) got to co-lead too!

Sadly, my mind has been hanging out in invasive, nightmare fantasies a lot since November 5th, but here we are. If that sounds like a big contrast with the parade image above taken barely six weeks ago, it is. But it’s almost 2025, so now we’re partying like it’s 1625 and for some reason, half the country apparently thinks it can magically lower the price of soap and gasoline by reducing me back to the shell of a person I was 20…
