Ukrainian LGBTQ Soldiers Unicorn Patch

In 2022, I wrote a story about members of the Ukrainian LGBTQ community who enlisted in the Ukrainian Army to defend their country.

At the time, America supported the Ukrainian people and their fight against Russian aggression. Now, the U.S. Government is pulling back support. Sadly, the Trump administration is echoing Putin’s ignorantly bigoted dogma.

On October 22, 2021, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that teaching children “that a boy can become a girl and vice versa” was monstrous and “on the verge of a crime against humanity.” He stated that supporters of transgender rights were seeking the end to “basic things such as mother, father, family or gender differences.”
