FL GOP Rep Who Wants to Outlaw Drag Queens Funds Straight Burlesque
Fl. Rep Randy Fine advocates for ‘erasing’ LGBTQ communities because they ‘sexualize children.’ But he and his wife promote burlesque in front of kids. Double standard for straight people?
Anybody else sick and tired of an ongoing, irrational moral panic over drag queens?
Over the past few weeks, I’ve covered stories about a bakery driven out of business over a night of drag bingo, a church hit with molotov cocktails over a drag benefit, and patrons outside a drag-queen story hour beaten by queer-hating white supremacists while local cops stood by and let the beatings happen.
And that’s just for starters.
Today’s story is a humdinger of hypocrisy. I hope it opens some eyes, because the anti-LGBTQ backlash sure is getting scary.
