Since 2016, we have all been assaulted by people wearing MAGA hats and waving Donald Trump flags using the American flag as their validation of what an American is.
They do not represent America. They are just another group claiming to speak for America but, instead, only speak their latest brand of bias and bigotry.
They don’t own America.
Here in America we are descended in blood and in spirit from revolutionists and rebels — men and women who dare to dissent from accepted doctrine. As their heirs, may we never confuse honest dissent with disloyal subversion.
