LGBTQ+ People Are Not Going Back!
Politics is not a fight about which policies are best; it’s a matter of life and death.
Politics might not feel important to you.
Maybe it feels like no matter who is in charge, your life sucks and will continue to suck.
Maybe that’s true to some extent and maybe it has felt true your whole life.
But politics is about more than just who is in charge.
When your boss advocates against (or, if you are incredibly lucky, FOR) unions or vacation time, they are practicing politics.
When your landlord lobbies against rent regulation, they are practicing politics.
When your grocery store raises prices, passing the costs of tariffs onto the consumer, they are practicing politics.
Keep in mind that rich people vote. Would they do that if politics didn’t matter?
Some of us think of politics as this nebulous and boring series of debates about minutia and taxes.
This isn’t wrong, but it is incomplete.
You personally are directly affected by politics, regardless of your identity.
