Mask-Ripping Moment: FL Lawmaker Says GOP Hates LGBTQ People

I guess nobody would be shocked if I suggested that many Republicans, especially lawmakers, genuinely hate transgender and gay people. According to Equality Florida, Florida’s recent barrage of laws targeting and marginalizing queer people is unprecedented — the most concentrated and effective effort to silence and ostracize LGBTQ people that Florida, or any state of the Union, has ever seen.
Local leaders are taking their cues from state pols, as evidenced in this rather shocking story, FPC Student Vandalizes ‘Offensive’ Civil Rights-Inspired Posters:
A high school student ripped down student-made posters from his school hallways and either (reports are mixed) flushed them down a school toilet or threw them beside a toilet. Students had created the posters as part of assigned history coursework about the Civil Rights Era.
