In place of the usual focus on a single writer, this session will simply be a collection of readings of various sorts that relate to love letter writing, especially by well known lgbtq writers.

In the link above, Maria Popova reviews the book Living on Paper (public library).) which collects the letters of novelist Iris Murdoch (1934–1995) Popova includes many extracts from Murdoch’s letters to Brophy.

The two women were bound by an intense intellectual entanglement, their letters strewn with allusions ranging from Plato to Proust.
