Defending conversion therapy

I wrote last month about Andrew Rodriguez, a psychotherapist who was kicked out of grad school for practicing conversion therapy.

The Christian Post is hosting a series of articles by Rodriguez defending the practice of sexual orientation and gender identity change efforts (SOGICE), usually known as “conversion therapy.” There are three articles so far in this series.

In his first article, Rodriguez declares himself the “boogeyman” that “haunts” 2SLGBTQ+ people’s dreams. He sounds proud of the fear he engenders in us.

Not Therapy

In his second article, Rodriguez argues that “conversion therapy” is a “loaded term” invented by SOGICE opponents to bring up “a number of fear-inducing connotations in the public consciousness fit for the boogeyman they’re trying to conjure up.”
