Summer this year is hot, humid, and oppressive. Unrest rocks the world as populations rise to demand justice for Black and Brown people. A global pandemic shuts down travel and clamps lids on already steaming pressure cookers.

Today, Prism & Pen issues a new two-week writing challenge: Stifled Summer Travels.

It’s time to tell stories about summer, pressure, heat, and travel

Read this challenge any way you like. We’re calling for fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry about summer travels of any kind. You can write about ruined plans, remember happy summer travels past, or make up something entirely different.

What matters is you, your storytelling perspective, and your writing

P&P’s challenge round 3 starts today —

We don’t have many rules, but here’s the link to our submissions guidelines. Hope to hear from you soon!
