Laeyral gasped. “You’re right! They have matter transmitter technology! That explains all the small bursts of energy we kept seeing across Ateria.”

“No wonder they were capable of jamming your communications and blocking your transmat beams,” Aeluin said. “From the level of technology in Ateria, that shouldn’t have been possible.”

“Whatever should we do?” Ellspeth asked, speaking up.

Andreesen leaned forward with his elbows on his knees. “We expose them. Can we broadcast everything this probe sees?”

“Won’t Amundsen just tell everyone it’s fake again?” Elder Taesys asked.

With a nod, Andreesen responded. “We’ll need to make it convincing that it’s real. Can we beam people into that cavern?”

Laeyral looked over the data coming in from the probes. “Yes, once the probes have completed their scans of this place, we’ll be able to transport you there safely.”

“I’m surprised they aren’t jamming our transmat signals,” Keryth observed.
