Episode 83: Andreesen makes a request of the Society of Sevens

Settling in around their living room display, Jevan, Ardyn, and Camran were joined by Cylaen and the girls. Myria climbed into Ardyn’s lap, while Ailis opted to curl up next to Jevan. Ardyn smiled as he felt his love’s emotions swell when Ailis leaned against him.

“What’s going on, Papa Ardyn?” Myria asked.

Before Ardyn could respond, Ailis replied. “Papa Andreesen is making another announcement.”

“How do you know that?” Jevan asked.

“Because Mama Marta called me earlier and told me. She said they would be talking about me, but I didn’t have to be there this time.”

When the broadcast began, Ardyn was surprised to see Chancellor Adan. It was a replay of the press conference he’d held months earlier, where he announced how Ailis had been cured. When Adan picked up Ailis in the video, Ardyn couldn’t hold back the emotions that pricked at his eyes. Looking over, he watched as Jevan pulled Ailis onto his lap and began to rock her as tears flowed freely down her face.
