Episode 81: An unexpected secret of the Society of Sevens is revealed

Ardyn and Jevan stayed close to home for the next few days. Despite putting on a brave face, Ailis was more than a little shaken over the attack, and while Andreesen was busy heading up the efforts to quell the growing support for the Sevens, she continued to stay with them.

Marta took time to visit and establish herself as a presence in Ailis’ life, but Andreesen needed her for moral support. She also gave him invaluable insight from a historical perspective on their people and how the Aterian public might perceive any actions he might take against the Sevens.

One afternoon, Ardyn and Jevan had just returned home from a trip to the market when they received a communication from Laeyral. “Can you both come up to the Sar’ora’yat? There’s something you both have to see.”

Immediately, Ardyn lowered his ears. “Now what?”

“I guess we’ll find out,” Jevan replied. “Give us a few moments, Laeyral.”
