I say the Lord’s Prayer a lot, you know? It’s the prayer I learned as a kid, and it just feels familiar and comforting to me. Until I started to think about God being a man.
One vivid memory from my childhood is when my great aunt Maria, who had gone blind, visited our home and sat in the living room. Despite her blindness, she would quietly mouth the prayer to herself, enveloped in darkness.
If “Transgendence” were a word, it could be interpreted as the state or quality of transcending traditional notions of gender identity. It would encompass moving beyond binary constructs and embracing a more expansive understanding of its expression.
“Transgendence” implies spiritual or metaphysical independence, suggesting a transcendent journey into the state of being at peace with one's gender.
