Basically, this is what we want. Freedom of choice! I’m sure one of these fine young men would fit the bill. Photo by Roman on Adobe Stock.

Let’s face it: if you’re on Grindr, you’re probably addicted to it. And who could blame you? Seeing the dashing men near you on your phone is a real bonus compared to the old days. If you host, you won’t even have to leave home! That’s a far cry from years past when we had to get out of our sweats, lather up, and head to a bar. And how often did you come home empty-handed and with an empty wallet?

Grinder claims to be the world’s largest hookup site. (Alright. Dating Site. Are you happy now?) Users sent 130 billion chats in the last twelve months!

This is the third year I’ve covered the year-end wrap-up of what was popular in the gay world, according to Grindr. Annually, Grindr compiles anonymous aggregated data from its global user base and surveys from its community on an array of pop culture topics and trends.

I don’t think I’ve ever felt so out of it in my life!

Thank goodness we have this to guide us through all we’ve missed or, if you’re with it, all that you’ve lived through. As for me, I may be in danger of having my gay card taken away. You’ll see why as we cruise through the categories of Grindr’s “Unwrapped.”
