Instead of Christian Nationalism, How About This?

What If “Pride” Were Every Day Everywhere All Over America?

What if instead of a “Christian” nation, we were a Pride nation?

Everywhere I go, I come across a crucifix or some version of “God Bless You” or some mention of Jesus or any number of Christian statements, symbols, and sentiments.

If you go to a store that sells necklaces, you will certainly see a crucifix for sale.

If you go to a bookstore, you will see a gazillion different Bibles, everything from a Study Bible to a Children’s Bible to a leather-bound Bible to a pocket Bible for your carry-on luggage on your next plane trip.

Go driving through a neighborhood and every few blocks, there will be some variation of a Christian church. Of course, you will surely see a bumper sticker that says “Jesus Saves” and probably a billboard asking if you are preparing to meet Jesus (nope, but thanks for askin’).

Everywhere, every day, all the time, all across America, you can’t swing a cat without hitting something “Christian.”

Not too sure what those Christian Nationalists are so upset about. They want more Christianity in our society? Really?
