Weren’t you the one who was supposed to protect me?
Dad is gone … you are (or perhaps that should be ‘were’ now) my big brother
I thought you promised him to look out for me?
Maybe you didn’t always know I was your sister …
You have a little sister, not a brother
Does that change so much? Void your promise? Your duty?
You who should protect me from pain have been the greatest cause
Is me living authentically so abhorrent to you? Such an inconvenience?

Why have you placed all the blame on me?
Why was I the one responsible to talk?
Why didn’t you ask, just once … how I was?

All the important dates and milestones of my journey so far …
You were silent
Is is shame that sealed your lips?
Yet me not double tapping some photos says I am no longer interested?
In your life? Your family?
In my niece and nephew who are my life
Looking at their photos tore my heart open!
To see them grow from afar, see their smiles
But…
