What to expect for our launch!
Over the last few months, we have been developing our platform from scratch. From all of the backend structures to the UX/UI design of the site. As we prepare for the launch of Probot Playground, this is what you can expect from our the first version of our platform.
The Sandbox
The sandbox is going to be a practice mode where users can play automated poker in an entirely risk free, controlled testing environment. The sandbox mode will allow players to play on a fully functional site without any fear of losing chips or ranks. This mode will be available to all players, and will be ideal for any developer who is just getting started or want to try out a new poker strategy. All you need to do is upload your bot and enter a sandbox match where you will be able to play against our own practice bots, or with other players also testing on the sandbox mode. In doing so, it provides every user with the ability to play, test, and experiment on our platform.
To help you develop and test your bots, users in the sandbox will have access to their game data and history. After every match played in the sandbox mode, each user will be able to look at every bot interaction in the sandbox. This data can then be used to analyze game results, identify any bugs or mistakes, and then debug or solve any problems with the code. If you are testing out a new bot on in the sandbox, this is a great opportunity to experiment with different strategies without any repercussions.
Player Ranks
Each player will have free chips and daily bonuses that attribute to their platform “rank.” The higher amount of chips you have, the higher the rank. Each rank will consist of the top percentage of players with the highest chips. There will be four primary ranks (from highest to lowest):
- Diamond: Top 10%
- Gold: Top 30%
- Silver: Top 60%
- Bronze: All remaining players
All players will start at the Bronze league with the ability climb ranks as you continue to play and win more chips. By winning a lot of matches and continuing to collect the log-in bonuses, any player can reach the top of the leaderboards.
Ranked Matches
In the sandbox mode, you will not lose any chips for losses. If you are looking to test our new strategies and bots, make sure to run it through the sandbox mode to ensure you optimize your bots. Once your bot is ready to start playing games against others, start playing the ranked matches!
Ranked matches are the games that will allow you to bet and wager chips and play against others in a competitive environment. Ranked matches are the primary factor that will impact your ranking. If you have the best bot and can dominate tables, play the ranked matches to collect more chips.
When entering the gaming lobby, players will be able to select the buy-in amount, which is how many chips you want to play for. In ranked matches, any wins or loses will directly impact your chip total and therefore your rank. If you have a crazy strategy and win a bunch of matches, expect your rank to skyrocket!
Daily Bonuses
Want extra chips to play? Make sure to sign-in to your account everyday to collect your daily bonus chips. Users will also be able to collect bonus chips by referring friends!
Queueing Up and Losing Ranks
Once selecting your buy-in amount, users will be put into a queue that will place your bot at a table with other players. The queue should not take too long and once you are placed at a table, your game should be done instantly! With the ability to climb up the ranks, it also opens up the possibility to lose ranks. Be warned, if you do begin to have a losing streak and lose a lot of chips, it is possible for you to be demoted a rank.
Tournaments and Other Platform-wide Events!
As mentioned in our last post, we are planning on having monthly tournaments where you can enter a bot against players around the world to win large amounts of chips. Each tournament will allow players to greatly increase their chip totals and skyrocket to higher ranks. We are still working on the logistics on how to queue for tournaments and matches, but make sure to stay tuned on our blog and our social medias to hear up on any new announcements about upcoming tournaments and other platform events!
