The first step being “Set clear Goals”(Sykes).

what it means to set clear goals is that you need to make a list of the things that are important to you. By creating this list it will give you a better thought process of what needs to be accomplished and thus will prevent procrastination on non-important task.

The second step is to “Create a routine”(Sykes).

If everyday you can work on the task for a certain amount of time you are creating a routine for yourself and also getting closer to accomplishing your goals. Sykes in the article talks about waking up earlier will allow you to accomplish more in the 24 hours that you are given each day. by creating the routine to get up early you will get more things done in the morning and will push progress forward.

The final two steps is “Being Accountable” and to “Banish bad Habits”

(Sykes).

What it means to be accountable is to make sure to check up on yourself to make sure you are making progress on your goals. You could also have somebody always checking up on you to see how your doing so you have the need to continue working. The final step being getting bad habits includes activities that will waste you time such as watching tv at night or checking up on social media all the time. This does not mean to never take breaks it just means to not spend an extensive amount of time wasting your time.
