I like this quote, & therefore used it as cover for Procurement Tidbits, because it highlights what is critical when talking about changes related to new technologies: people. C. Shirky wrote it in the context of technological changes like the invention of the printing press or the “invention” of social networks but I believe it applies to Purchase-To-Pay transformation too. It is a vivid reminder that such changes need to focus on “PPT” (People, Process, and Technology) but that the real battleground is about “behaviors”!
