Data augmentation is the process of obtaining new data from available, already-existing data in order to increase a training sample. Modern approaches to the formation of new data include geometric transformations, color transformation, using filters, mixing images, random erasure, increasing the feature space, using GAN networks, neural style transfer, etc.
