Product Design Fundamentals — badly designed object

The badly designed object I chose was this cheap phone tripod I bought off of Amazon. I was looking for a cheap way to record videos with my phone which was flexible enough to record despite bad placement. The features of this product that achieve those goals are the three flexible legs as well as the rotating phone holder. However, the legs turned out to be extremely stiff and difficult to balance, and the rotating clip can’t handle the weight of my phone past a certain angle. Overall, it gets the job done but it isn’t the easiest or most pleasant thing to use.
