Franz 2.0 launched on product hunt this morning as a Windows and Linux tool connecting many popular messaging services. Franz 2.0 is a really efficient tool that supports 14 messaging apps right now. If you’re like me, you have 3 or 4 Slack tabs, Messenger on your phone, a separate tab for hangouts, and run Skype whenever a meeting is scheduled. Franz eliminates these resource hogging apps, bundling them into one efficient tool.

For me, the best part of Franz was avoiding the slowdown caused by having so many apps open at one time. Skype is a huge resource hog and Messenger is a huge battery hog. Franz eliminates these problems (though I wish we could eliminate Skype all together as a standard messaging tool in business). Having all my notifications in one place is really nice, too.

The team at Franz have built a really great product that targets literally billions of users. Of all the products I’ve tested today, this was by far the most useful. Well done Franz.
