Microsoft recently rolled out its anniversary update for Windows 10 which brought in some improvements and new features. Now according to ZDNet, the next major update for the OS will be arriving in March 2017.

There have been reports that claim Microsoft will be releasing two major updates in 2017 for Windows 10. The first one is codenamed Redstone 2 and should make its way in spring 2017. Last week, some documentation published by Microsoft included references to Windows 10 with the build number ‘1703’ as well as a release date.

Not a lot of info about the update is out, however there is a high possibility that Microsoft will give a sneak peek of the update at its upcoming event that is scheduled for this month. The company has begun to send invites for the event which is happening on 26 October, where Microsoft is expected to debut new Surface hardware along with a Windows 10 update and some Xbox-related announcement as well. The event will be held in New York at 10 AM ET (7:30 PM IST)

Rumours claim that the event will also see the announcement of a Surface-branded Keyboard and mouse as well as an all-in-one Surface PC. There is also news that the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book successors will not be announced as they are delayed. Instead Microsoft will showcase laptops and devices built by OEMs.
