Productivist: The Winning Team

So far there are many articles on Medium which are centred on the benefits of Productivist, the manufacturing industry and supply chain management, however you will probably notice that there remains only a little information of who exactly is behind the project. That “Who” behind a project is probably one of the most important factors to its success. As John C Maxwell (speaker and author:The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamworks) says, the big idea will not come to fruition if driven by a bad team.

Thankfully there is Linkedin which is readily available for those wish to know more. However, although a visit to Linkedin is reassuring it is always good to know more.

On meeting the co-founder and CEO, Benjamin Pestel one cannot fail to come away as a believer in this project. Pestel is not only young, energetic and highly positive but perhaps more importantly he is a hard-nosed, determined businessman. Having studied business at one of the top business schools in France (Skema) followed by a 3 year period in China Octans as marketing director, Pestel’s career was certainly quick off the “starting blocks”. He can only be described as a “mover and shaker.” Success driven, intelligent and with an entrepreneurial spirit, he has that character which transmits drive, confidence and energy to his team — a perfect profile to be at the helm of a project.

His team, as all the supporting documents boast, has been handpicked for their expertise and this is no lie. However perhaps of equal importance is that they have been selected by Pestel clearly because he knows that they will work in synergy. Similar characters, similar aspirations, they form that essential energy required to win.

The team includes highly experienced blockchain experts such as Nicolas Merle, Luc Yriarte, Jeremie François and Zin-Eddine Hasni who have worked together on various projects over the past few years and therefore know how to get the best results. They are quick to praise their colleagues’ respective talents. Luc Yriarte is a veritable blockchain enthusiast. His experience speaks for itself with just over 6 years’ experience at Intel before consecrating his career to research. Congenial, professional and a teamplayer, Luc has been hands on from the start. Drawn into the project by those he knows and has previously worked with, he has thrown himself 100% into making this a success. Likewise, Jeremie François, if asked about Productivist, oozes positivity. Always ready to impart his knowledge as well as learn from those colleagues around him, he is a well appreciated team member. He is quick to confirm the viability of Productivist. Modest, intelligent the team will benefit from the expertise he shares with those around him.

The design team is talented. Based in Portugal, but in daily contact by skype or in person with Benjamin, they form almost a team inside a team. Headed by Marcos Carvalho, they have all worked on top design projects. Marcos¸ digital strategist, has 14 years’ experience in his field. He is currently the CEO of Hapibot; (a company which has a client portfolio of multi-national companies such as Wella and Samsung). Dynamic, determined, and quietly confident he has all the right qualities to ensure this project’s excellence.

Lastly, but equally importantly is the marketing and communications team who have worked efficiently together in Freelabster.com over a long period of time. In the limelight of this team is Alvaro Canton — co-founder and head of communications. Creative and able to think “out of the box” Alvaro is an asset to the team.

Productivist is on the right path to success. It is not only a big idea, but it has the right team to carry it through with aplomb : both down on paper and also in person. A magic combination in synergy with each other. In other words, the right fit of characters necessary to face the challenge. An athletic team already quick off the starting blocks, they mean business and they will certainly be winners!
