Apple unveiled their latest version of the iPhone, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6 Plus, and announced the release of the iPad Pro and their brand new Apple TV at an event in San Fransisco, California. Plenty of excitement surrounded the event, as is the case with any Apple event. Will the gadgets make all the hype and excitement worth it? Let’s see what they have to offer.

iPad Pro

The iPad Pro is set to enable users to do work tasks, play video games, and both edit and watch movies. It’s larger than the previous iPads with a display size of 12.9 in (32.8 cm) and a display richer than that on the Macbook Pro with retina display. The processing power has also received a boost, with an ability to match 80% of all the PCs released in the past 6 months.

A magnetically-connected keyboard and a stylus, called Apple Pencil, will also accompany the release of iPad Pro. The tip of the stylus has sensors that will serve to emulate the effect of putting pen to paper. The release of the stylus is surprising, as Steve Jobs had once said in 2010: “If you see a stylus, they blew it.”

Apple TV

The brand new Apple TV will come with its own app store and a new operating system. The remote accompanying the TV will have a touch-sensitive panel and a microphone so it can be voice-controlled.

For those who’re picky about what they want to see on TV, the SIRI virtual assistant can be used to ask if the movies or shows of your choice are available. The TV can play video games, too. The TV remote is motion-sensitive and works like Nintendo’s Wii controllers.

iPhone 6s and 6s Plus

The iPhone 6s and 6s plus come with a new 3D touch feature. It’s been added so users can access different functions by pressing firmly on the screen. Examples include previewing an email or photo and switching to selfie photo mode.

Another upgrade with the iPhone 6s and 6s plus is that they will enable users to shoot 4K videos — that’s 4 times higher pixels than the regular HD video (1080p).

The back camera is upgraded to 12 megapixels and the front camera to 5 megapixels. The devices will also be a lot more powerful with a processor upgrade.

Some say that the changes weren’t significant enough in comparison with their previous launches. These gadgets, however, seem very promising.
