Productized’17: 10 places to contemplate a fabulous view of Lisbon

Lisbon is not only a capital of ambitious monuments and sunny beaches. The city also has more than 20(!) viewpoints where locals and tourists love meeting sunsets while having a glass of cold sangria… Sounds like a paradise, right? So, once at Productized Conference make a break between intensive workshops and challenging talks and let these amazing views take your breath away!

1| Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara

The most romantic view of Lisbon (with the castle standing on the opposite hill) is found at this garden in the Bairro Alto District

2| Miradouro das Portas do Sol

The medieval maze and whitewashed monuments of the city’s oldest neighborhood are seen descending to the waterfront from this hilltop terrace.

3| Castelo de São Jorge

The most complete view of Lisbon is from the walls of the castle, where it’s possible to admire the city’s squares, a sea of rooftops, the river, and 25 de Abril Bridge.

4|Passeio das Tágides

From the marina to close to Vasco da Gama Tower is a long boardwalk over the water used for jogging, cycling, or simply for a stroll with views of the city’s most modern district and its contemporary landmarks.

5|Elevador de Santa Justa

When you reach the top of the Santa Justa Elevator you find a nearly-360º-view of the city, from the river to the northern districts.

6| Miradouro da Graça

This terrace attracts visitors of all ages, tourists and locals, offering a close-up view of the castle, and looking over the city towards the river and 25 de Abril Bridge.

7| Miradouro da Senhora do Monte

You can see almost the entire city from here. It’s one of its quietest spots, and especially beautiful at sunset.

8|Arco da Rua Augusta

The view from here is truly monumental. The top of triumphal arch offers a view over Comércio Square and all of downtown.

9|Parque Eduardo VII

Lisbon’s landscaped central park climbs one of the city’s many hills and offers views over downtown, seen between two hills (one of them topped by the ancient castle) all the way to the river and the hills of the southern bank.

10| Largo da Academia das Belas Artes

Walking down this square in the Chiado district you eventually find a terrace unfortunately used as a private parking lot, but offering one of the best views of downtown Lisbon, going from the top of the triumphal arch to the small dome of the Municipal Palace.
