Last year I started to learn CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP at BAVC and Python at UC Berkeley. As a non-coder, I’m planning to share what I learned here. Maybe it’ll be useful or inspiring for those of you who are non-coders!

First things first. What is HTML5?

What a fancy name, huh? But HTML5 is just the latest version of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language).

It’s an old video but it explains what HTML5 is.

Useful links:

Useful links I discovered in my HTM5 journey:

It is an awesome open-source editor written in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

It helps you validate your code.

Beautiful templates for free!

Create your favicon based on an image that you can edit, or even draw your own favicon.

Add rounded corners to an element and visualize it, then just copy the code and paste into your code editor.

Tired of the Lorem Ipsum generators? Use the Zombie Ipsum generator instead.

Some research said that kitten images make a design or code prettier. I love kittens!

Are you looking for videos of different resolution and sizes to test while designing or developing a mobile app? This is the place to check!

Yes… this really exists…. and it can save your life sometimes.

What a great idea. OMG, I love this!

14,500 HTML character entities and common Unicode characters.

Search domain names that are currently available.

Tools for converting video from nearly any format to a selection of supported codes.

Affordable web hosting!

I want to acknowledge my teacher, Olen Sanders, who taught me the HTML5 + CSS3 class at BAVC and showed me most of the links I’m sharing with you in this post.

I hope these tips will be useful for you. If you’re a coder yourself or not a coder, I’d be happy to receive your feedback and tips!
