How I Used OpenAI’s GPT Chat to Optimize My Blog Post
As an AI Product Manager, I recently experimented with using OpenAI’s GPT Chat to help me write a travel blog post about my recent vacation. In this article, I’ll share how I leveraged this powerful tool to optimize my post for SEO, as well as where it fell short and how I ultimately needed to work together with the machine to achieve my desired outcome.
Firstly, I utilized GPT Chat’s technical knowledge to improve the overall quality of my post. Before even beginning to write, I asked the tool for an example of a travel blog post that was optimized for SEO. This gave me a clear understanding of the kind of content I should be aiming for. After writing the post, I asked GPT Chat to correct any grammar errors in American English and optimize the post for the highest number of views. This not only saved me time, but ensured that my post was of high quality and would be easily discoverable by readers searching for travel content.
Secondly, I turned to GPT Chat for strategic advice. I asked the tool to recommend the best platform for publishing my post in terms of SEO. This allowed me to make a more informed decision and ultimately led to higher traffic on my blog.
However, there were limitations to what GPT Chat could help me with. Ideas, experiences, and feelings are all unique to each individual and can’t be generated by an AI. Therefore, I had to rely on my own personal experiences to write the content of my post. Additionally, there were issues with coherence and context. GPT Chat forgot the last paragraph of my post, which was the conclusion. When I asked it to generate the missing paragraph, it produced text that didn’t quite fit with the rest of the post. I had to guide GPT Chat to ensure that it didn’t change the theme or context of my post, and ultimately, we worked together to produce the final version.
In conclusion, using GPT Chat was a valuable experience that helped me to optimize my travel blog post for SEO and grammar. It also allowed me to focus on the creative aspects of writing that only a human can provide. However, it’s important to remember that AI is a tool and should be used in conjunction with human supervision to ensure that the end product aligns with our desired outcome.
