Are you a writer?

The answer to this question may seem a little obvious since I am posting this on a publishing platfrom. For others I expect the answer to be vastly different. Many people don’t consider themselves to be a writer, maybe they consider themselves a businessman, or maybe they are a doctor. The truth is I’d be hard-pressed to find somebody in 2017 that doesn’t write on a daily basis. Everyday we write, through text, social media posts, blogs, emails etc…

As you can see, when I googled the definition of a writer I got a very broad definition. I can’t remember a day where I haven’t written “a particular text.”

In todays digital age, we are able to write and publish at the click of a button. Our world is more connected now then it has ever been. We are in constant communication with one another, a feat that would have been unheard of just a couple decades ago. On Amazon, you can publish a book in under 5 minutes. Yourself. No publisher. No middle man. A process that used to take months to complete.

In order to be successful, we must be able to commuicate idea. It is essential in any workplace. While some careers require more writing than others, and everyones writing skills are not on the same level, the fact is we are all Writers.
