I recently read an article on medium called “Spend 30 minutes everyday being creative for nobody but you”. This is an recent article and its talks mainly about how one man (the author of the article) takes time to let his creativity flow for about 30 minutes a day, not to be noticed or to become successful, but just as a healthy stress reliever to help him cope throughout the day. This was an short article but in this reflection of the article I will choose 2 points that he talks about that stood out to me and explain what the author is saying in those 2 points that stood out to me.

The first point that stood out to me was how he said “Not everything you do has to be seen” and that’s part of the reason for the name of the reflection “Be Creative, Be Silent”. This stood out to me because this is exactly how I act, I may do something whether its creating something, saving my money, or just doing anything I stay discreet and low with everything I’m doing because I don’t like a lot of people in my business and that’s what I took away from what he said, He basically described me in 8 words.

My last point that stood out to me was he compared running and dancing as a reference of how he lets his creativity out with painting. When running you already know how far you want to run, where your going to run to and back, even though you may enjoy it you still hate it. Dancing your moving to your own beat at your own pace and you wouldn't dance if you didn't want to so dancing for him is basically painting also. He moves at his own pace and paints how he wants to just being creative for 30 mins. This stood out to me because I seen a quote that said “If you do something you love for the rest of your life you’ll never have to work again” so by him showing how he moves at his own pace and loves painting and taking that 30 mins of creativity a day gave me motivation to draw again.
