Writers Block

What do you do when you have writers block? I’ve heard that walking and looking around at everything will help you think. I’ve heard that writing details about pictures can inspire stories. The thing I think helps me the most is to just write. Don’t even think about what you’re going to say because then, you’ll stop and forget it all again. Don’t erase a spelling mistake or grammar error because you can just fix those later. In fact, just don’t erase anything because you might write something you don’t like now, but love later. For me, I can’t listen to music when I’m trying to write. I need peace and quiet.

Writing is different for everyone and finding your way out of writers block may not be something that you’ve heard about before. I think if you’re ever stuck and don’t know what to do, then go ahead and try some of the tips you’ve heard, but it they don’t seem to help then you should stop trying. Sometimes we get writers block because we are trying too hard to write. The best time to write is when the words flow out of your head and form naturally. If you’re having trouble writing, then do something else that you love. Let go of trying to control the inspiration and instead, let the inspiration rise from your passions.
