Write for ProfessorTom’s Better Every Day Publication
These rules are a work in progress and were written under some time pressure, so please be patient and flexible.
The way this publication will work going forward is I will provide prompts from the Better Than Yesterday deck for the next few days at a time. I may provide prompts a week at a time, I may provide prompts for only a few days at a time. But I will try to provide prompts at least a day ahead of time.
- Follow Tomas Gallucci and the Professor Tom’s Better Every Day publication.
- Comment on this post telling me you want to be added to the publication. I’ll comment or clap on your comment once I add you; it’s my understanding that there’s a 100 comment per day limit, so if there’s a flurry of activity, you may only get a clap.
- All images will need to be credited in their captions.
- Your article should start with a title and subtitle.
- One of your tags should be Better Everyday to help promote the publication.
6. Your hero image needs to be a high resolution image in landscape orientation with full bleed (meaning it goes all the way to the edge; use the button all the way to the right. If you’re confused about this, look through the publication for examples.)
7. Use good grammar and spelling.
8. This is an English-only publication because there’s no other languages that I read or write.
9. Call to Action: You may have one small call to action at the end of your post. We won’t accept pieces that ask for claps or comments.
10. Your piece should be a response to the prompt for the day; if it’s off-topic, it will be rejected.
11. If you have a question, just ask.
12. We will likely post most submissions; our goal is to publish.
13. I, ProfessorTom may publish a response to a prompt for a given day along with submissions.
14. How many responses get published for a given prompt will depend on the number of submissions and is subject to change at a moment’s notice.
15. If you have a question, just ask.
16. Please be patient and assume that I will get back to you as soon as I can, even if that means having to wait hours or a day or two.
